Hamburg, October 4, 2022. As part of their strategic further development, Girlan Immobilien GmbH and Planungsgesellschaft Langos mbH (PGL) have entered into a 50:50 joint venture as of October 01, 2022. The focus is on bundling the expertise of the two companies in the areas of retail and project management. In the future, the joint venture will operate as a company under the name Girlan-PGL GmbH. Paolo Francesco Calmetta and Frank Sieke of Girlan and Philipp Hirtler and Olaf Lühr of PGL serve as managing directors. Girlan Immobilien and PGL, including their affiliated companies, will also continue to exist independently.

“With the joint venture, we can combine our strengths and thus offer our clients more comprehensive expertise. The goal is to jointly offer a broad range of services for the alignment and positioning of real estate in an increasingly complex market environment,” says Paolo Francesco Calmetta, partner and owner of Girlan Immobilien. “We are looking forward to working closely with PGL, especially as we will mutually benefit from our experience,” adds Frank Sieke, Head of Technical Asset and Property Management at Girlan Immobilien.

As a specialist in retail and commercial real estate, Girlan Immobilien manages more than 650,000 m² of rental space throughout Germany and manages approximately 1.75 billion euros in real estate assets. The company currently employs around 55 people.
The planning company Langos with currently 45 employees has its headquarters in Hamburg and looks back on 25 years of company history. With their team of engineers and architects, they take on the construction planning and project management of real estate of various asset classes throughout Germany.

“The topics of repositioning, restructuring and redesigning, especially with sustainability in mind, are playing an increasingly important role in the current market phase and will continue to do so in the future. For this, we not only have to know the needs and requirements of different user groups, but also give customers planning security,” says Philipp Hirtler, Managing Director of Planungsgesellschaft Langos mbH.
